Chinese smartphone maker Oppo launched its new smartphone series, the Oppo Reno 2, last week. The series, that includes Oppo Reno 2, Oppo Reno 2Z and Oppo Reno 2F, was launched in India before any other market in the world. While the pre-bookings for the Oppo Reno 2 hasn’t even commenced, the Oppo Reno 2Z will go on sale this Friday, on 6 September.
Oppo Reno 2Z: Price
The Oppo Reno 2Z will sell for ₹29,990 on Flipkart and Amazon and across Oppo’s 50,000 offline outlets. Oppo also launched the Oppo Enko Q1 noise-cancelling headset alongside the smartphone for ₹7,990.
The Oppo Reno 2Z comes with a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,340×1,080. Like its bigger sibling, it has a notch-free display. However, it doesn’t have the trademark ‘Shark fin’ pivot structure pop-up camera. Instead, it comes with a centrally placed vertical pop-up selfie camera mechanism.

The Reno 2Z is powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS2.1 fast internal storage. It is backed by a 4,000mAh li-ion battery with support for VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology.
It runs Android 9 Pie with Oppo’s ColorOS 6 UI running atop.
The Reno 2Z comes with an electronically stabilised 48MP Sony sensor along with an 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP sensor with a mono lens and 2MP portrait sensor.
The Reno 2Z is available in Luminous Black and Sky White/Polar Light colour schemes.
